  The KA always has good selection of lagers and ales. Has a great upstairs area too where you can look over the estuary.
  
  Also hosts beer festivals every now and then during the summer which are always a hoot.
  
  Victoria opposite however is more comfortable and does much better food - so I would say the KA is more of a 'traditional' pub. But this isn't necessarily a bad thing; it's much easier to get a table in the KA for example, and it's often open later.
  
  I won't give 5 stars however. This is entirely because of one *extremely* bad tempered barman who sometimes works there. Guy eyeballs you every time you walk in, as if you're offending him by turning up. He also once refused to believe my 20 year old son's driving licence was real and promptly ordered us to leave, despite the fact that I have been going to this pub much longer than he's worked there. Might be the ideal barman for a pub in Glasgow, but not in friendly Salcombe, mate.
  
  So go to the KA for a good pint or two, as long as you can put up with *that* barman.

  £4.40 for a pint of Strongbow.
  £13.00 for a veggie curry. Plate was hotter than the curry.
