  By far the best sweetshop around, it's an institution!. There isn't a kid for 50 miles who doesn't do star jumps at the sight of a pink and white striped bag! Also contrary to the review below I have always found their staff to be lovably eccentric and really lovely and I have been a patron for 27 years. :)

  I've been to Cranch's on numerous occasions and cannot fault it for service and satisfaction. A huge variety of sweets and delightful treats for all ages. It's difficult to visit Salcombe and not pop in to Cranch's whilst there!! I've always found the customer service to be friendly and excellent and I've never seen anybody leave there unhappy (except those who wanted more!). Quite how someone can go in there and not understand how you select sweets and get them weighed out by a staff member is beyond me. Its clearly mentioned in the shop and if you don't know or are in the slightest bit unsure what to do, you do what any normal person would do, ASK!! What's the worst that could happen? Perhaps the fire breathing dragon manager who owns and runs the highly popular sweetshop will shout at you and scare you away.... Doubt it, it wouldn't be popular then!!
